Blue-striped PE100 potable water pipe stacked by diameter in the open yard

HDPE Pipe

HDPE Water Pipe (PE100)

Potable water mains and distribution pipe with a 50-year design life and leak-free fused joints.

Black PE100 water pipe fanned out by diameter, each length carrying the blue potable-water stripe

Our PE100 water pipe is the workhorse of the range: black pipe with blue co-extruded stripes, produced to ISO 4427 and EN 12201 for potable water mains, distribution networks and trenchless renewal. Fused joints are as strong as the pipe wall, which is why water utilities specify HDPE where leakage targets and ground movement rule out rigid materials.

For pipe bursting, slip-lining and directional drilling we supply PE100-RC grade with a protective outer layer, allowing installation without a sand bed and with far higher resistance to slow crack growth. Coils are available up to DN110 for rural and service-connection work, and straight lengths of 6 m, 11.8 m and 12 m load efficiently into standard containers.

Frequently asked questions

Is PE100 pipe safe for drinking water?
Yes, when it is produced from a potable-grade compound and certified for hygienic contact. We supply WRAS and hygienic-contact documentation on request, and the certificate references the resin lot used for your batch. Ask for it before the order rather than after — some compounds are approved for a market and some are not.
Do I need PE100 or PE100-RC?
PE100 is correct for open-cut installation on a sand bed. PE100-RC adds resistance to slow crack growth and lets the pipe be installed without a bed — dragged through a bore, pulled behind a bursting head, or laid in native backfill with stones in it. If the installation method involves dragging the pipe, the premium pays for itself.
What is the maximum length you can ship?
Straight lengths of 12 m fit a standard 40 ft container; 11.8 m is the safer nominal if the container is loaded tight. Coils run to DN110 and are limited by weight and coil diameter rather than length — a DN110 coil is typically 100 m. Above DN110, everything ships as straight lengths.
