HDPE dredging pipe is supplied as a system: pipe, spools, floaters, ballast and hardware sized together, with buoyancy calculations the contractor can put into a marine method statement.

We have fabricated dredge lines, outfall diffusers and seawater intakes for port, reclamation and desalination projects, and we pressure-test and mark spools before shipment so offshore assembly time stays short.

Frequently asked questions

How is a floating line kept at the right level in the water?
By matching floater volume and spacing to the filled weight of the pipe, which changes with slurry density. That is a calculation, not a rule of thumb, and it is why we prefer to supply pipe and floaters together. A line floated for water will sit wrong the moment it carries sand.
What holds an outfall on the seabed?
Concrete ballast collars sized so the pipe stays negatively buoyant when empty — the governing case is an empty pipe full of air, not a working pipe full of water. We supply the collars and the buoyancy calculation for the configuration we ship; the marine method statement stays with the contractor.
How is a dredge line reconfigured between jobs?
That is exactly why dredge lines are flanged rather than fused. A flanged section can be added, removed or swapped in a shift with hand tools; a fused string needs a machine, a power supply and a weather window. Outfalls and intakes are the opposite — those are fused, because nobody wants a bolted joint on the seabed.
